Pebbles

We adopted Pebbles yesterday from the Humane Society. She's 4 years old and spent her first 4 hours followed by the night behind the washer/dryer. She's now out, has explored, met Meghan who spent the night and I think now is ruling the roost. This picture taken when we were meeting her.

The Dairy Barn and Milking Parlor

Okay, since I just posted a photo of two old photos that I had taken spliced together, I thought that I would post a newer photo that was put together. It does make me sad to look at this one after living there on the farm and knowing what it used to look like. You can see the silo behind it that I took the other photo from.

It's so overgrown that you can not even see Mr. Bakers stonework.

The old barns

I was playing around in photo shop and had been doing panoramas with the digital camera. Thought that I would go back to some photos that I had taken in 1961 from the silo behind the dairy barn. They didn't go together real well but they were taken with a little box camera without any real regard of what was needed to put them together. It does give you a good sweep of the view from there. By the way only about one of the barns still stands.

New Bridge

Interesting article in today's (9/15) Tampa Tribune...AP...about the new bridge in Minneapolis/St Paul that collasped awhile ago. Some wanted it to the an architectual marvel but it is plain & functional.

Florida has anti-gouging gas law which I just learned today.

It's really Lavender

This is Meghan's new bedroom and it's not blue but lavender and the furniture, as she strongly pointed out, isn't "white" but "washboard white".

Sending along the laughting Meghan & Jen also.
