Groundhog Day

Actually it's groundhog day's eve, but we celebrated early. Here are a few photos.


We would have put the right number of candles on, but I keep forgetting what the count is after about eight. Besides sixty five would have made the photo too bright.

Here's a video and a picture of the celebration. I did learn not to sing while I was doing the video as, unfortunatly, my voice is about all you hear. You may wish to lower your volume. He's not really as blurry as in the picture!

Presentation of the Haggis

We attended the St Andrew's Society of Jacksonville (Robert) Burns Nicht in celebration of his birth 250 years ago. One of the things they do is the Presentation of the Haggis. This whole event was a lot of fun. They had bagpipers and harp players, poetry, songs and really good food. Oh, yes and very good Scotch whiskey.
