Even though she has stopped getting older, Jackie still has birthdays. Meghan made the cake and they put some number candles on it. They did censor it though, and had a question mark for the second number. (Wonder what they will do when it takes three of them to make up the number?)

What about the trumpet player?

Jackie in her comment asked me to explain about the trumpet player. (As well as such things can be "explained".) When I was telling her about my fall she asked if anyone was around. I said that there was someone across the water playing a trumpet. This set her off laughing. He seemed very good but someone said he was probably there because his neighbors wouldn't let him practice at home.

The last photo before the fall

I was out taking photos yesterday evening at the Gandy Bridge. I was going down the concrete erosion control to get a better photo of the sunset, when I slipped on the wet concrete and fell backward busting a place in the back of my head. This was the last photo that I snapped off before I fell. I was able to get up, and bleeding profusely, drove home. Judy then took me to the emergency room. Since I had just been there with Mother from here fall the other week I knew the procedure. I now have nine staples in my head. (No, they don't go into the skull they just hold the skin together like stitches.) I seem to be doing alright and am no less incomprehensible than normal.
