Leesburg inventor in the news

I put this up on my blog but thought I should share it since it is about Leesburg, Virginia. A local man has built a funny little 'green' car that runs on manpower and a little bit of electricity. Apparently everyone in town, especially the drunks, want to have a ride on it.

So here it is.

News from North Carolina

Last week I got down on my little futon chair in my office to take a nap and was all quiet and sleepy when the building started swaying for about 10 or 15 seconds. The great earthquake had struck. Laura did not notice it. We don't know about Leo but you know what they say about animals and earthquakes.

Then, of course, the great hurricane hit North Carolina - hard. Didn't do anything to us up here in the foothills and mountains. Their was a little bit of wind the afternoon I went out to my favorite winery to pick up my shipment of wine, and to set out on the piazza in the sun. They could not unfurl the umbrellas over the tables because the wind would pick them up and carry them off to Virginia or someplace.

Nice wine though.

Swimming Lessons for Tram and Andy

I have been taking Tram and Andy over to the Bobby Hicks pool next to Robinson High for swimming lessons for the last six weeks and thought that I would post a couple of photos of them.

Does everyone remember Angela?

Angela, who showed up for several of our Christmas parties, was here to visit her Father and Grandparents. She is Judy's brother's granddaughter, making her our grandniece. She will be five in October. I got to visit with her a couple of times while she was here, and took her over to Mother's to feed the ducks and visit. Of course I took a few photos and here are some.
