OK - now that everyone has given up and already bought us something. Or just given up.
For me: the usual. Pens and inks (no ballpoints). Beer or brandy. For books a gift certificate at Amazon or my wish list page

Ah...um...that is SmartWool socks. Slightly more comfortable than the Smartwood ones.
