Confederate Memorial Dedication

Thomas and I attended the Dedication of the Confederate Memorial Park by the SCV on Saturday, April 25th. About 2000 to 3000 attended the event to listen to music, speakers and watch the raising of the largest Confederate Battle Flag in the world.

It is a small park well landscaped with wrought iron gates and brickwork. The Memorial Marker is beautifully done. Be sure to stop by to see it, you can't miss the flag which is visible from I-75 and I-4.

I think perhaps I function better at 5 AM!

What We've Been Up To Part 2

This photo was to have been on the previous post but somehow I lost it while playing around with the Page Up/Page Down arrows. Blaine please note it's PM!

What We've Been Up To

I remember the first vehicle I drove or steered, was a tractor but I'm afraid to get up on this one's seat as I'm not sure I can get down.

Ikea of Tampa

This is mainly for John. The grand opening of the Ikea store in Tampa will be May 6-10. I have already registered for the give-aways at the store's website http://info.ikea-usa.com/IKEAVirtualTour/?store=tampa. I can't wait to go and visit. I see it everyday when I drive home on the crosstown. They are suppose to have a restaurant at the store and serve breakfast every day until 11:00....scrambled eggs, home fries and bacon for 99cents! And here's a menu item Jackie and Art might like...apple glazed salmon (poached lime marinated salmon with apple and apricot glaze)for $6.99, and a hot dog for .50cents! And for Jackie...the bag lady...they have an environmentally friendly tote bag for 59cents.

As you can tell, I am very excited about the store's opening!

Easter 2009

Here's Art showing off his new landscaping & paint job. One of the whole gang and another with some of the gang so that you can see Judy. There's the happy 1st-time homeowners and what was supposed to the the "2nd annual Easter everyone with food in their mouth" picture. Elizabeth didn't participate & Diane did have her mouth full but was trying not to laugh.

Buenos Aires Slideshow

Hi everyone! I am trying to avoid doing work right now so I thought I might post this. Everyone from the BA semester abroad compiled our photos to make a slideshow to show at happy hour (a tradition at our school). The boys actually put everything together and I think they did a really nice job. Enjoy!
