Jen's Christmas List

Sorry it has taken me so long to post this. I have been lost in a world of thesis projects and packing. BUT... I am finished, I am home, and I am sleeping again :) Here it is -

Such Places as Memory by John Hejduk
Lunch Poems by Frank O’Hara
The Little Saigon Cookbook by Ann Le
Declaration of Dependence by The Kings of Convenience
Ultraviolet by Kid Sister
Nordstrom or Target Giftcard
Striped Socks

See you all soon!

Our dog is a lunatic

But most of you knew that, didn't you.

I took him out for a walk this morning, about 10 am. We wonder off into the woods, he is having fun with new odors and whatnot, when it begins to snow hard. He is delighted. Romps and chomps all over the place, wants to stay out in it for nearly an hour. Doesn't want to get back into the car.

This afternoon about 4:30 we have about 5 inches on the ground and it is still coming. He wants his walk. Laura thinks I should just walk him around in the yard a few times. Ha. He had other ideas. He tears off down the road full tilt, showing a great deal more energy than we can usually get out him. He wants to play, and dives into the drifts head first, all the way to his ears. He loves this kind of weather.

Laura thinks he is too much like me.

Our Wish Lists for Christmas

Laura says she would like:
This book: Age of Wonder by Richard Holmes
Yoga mat
any shea butter products from L'Occitaine
the CD "Mick Moloney's "If it wasn't for the Irish and the Jews" and/or Ella Fitzgerald, "12 Nights in Hollywood"
The DVD "70th Anniversary DVD of "The Wizard of Oz"
Anything warm

My list:
a CD player: I'll settle for the little personal one you carry around, or if someone wants to spend some big bucks, a Bose
A CD of Karl Jenkins "Requiem" or "The Armed Man" or "The River Queen" or 'Kiri Sings Karl"
(not sure where you will find them, but Amazon has them all - just avoid any of the Audiemus series. I already have most of them.)
Then, the usual: pens, fountain or otherwise (gel pens, a bit nicer than Signo would be fine too), inks, stationary, good beer, cognac or brandy.

Anything.

That's it. We have about 10 inches of snow on the ground right now. Laura wants to hibernate (hence the anything warm request).

Blaine's and Judy's List

Will try to keep this simple since we are trying to leave for St. Louis.

Judy would like a gift certificate to Ikea.

I would like gift a gift certificate to Best Buys (or another computer store) or Borders Books.

There, that didn't take me very long.

Thomas' Christmas List

I am posting this for Thomas as he is having issues with Google.
============================================
This is Thomas. Since my wife stated
this, here tis',

1) Donate the money for a gift to
an organization that helps wounded
veterans of our current overseas
adventures. I will try and list
some.

2) The book "An American Knight,
the life of Colonel John W. Ripley."
Better yet, get the book and read it.

Lowes, or Borders or Barnes and Noble.

Ghosts of Christmas Past

Or at least photos of Christmas Past. To keep up with baby sister I am posting this one, also taken in McLean, VA. I think that I was leaning to poke Thomas to make him smile. (Didn't quite work.) Grandmother made all the night clothes.

Meghan's Basketball Game

Here are a few photos that I took at Meghan's game at St. Mary's.

Gail's Christmas Wish List

Well, there you have it. Happy Christmas shopping!!

Christmas Wish Lists

Ho, ho, ho and Merry Christmas! or like our brother Thomas says, "BAH HUMBUG!"

Okay people. Thanksgiving is over, names have been drawn, and it's time to post your wishlists. Some people like to have their shopping done before Christmas Eve....no Scott, I was not talking about you.

Here is Meghan's wish list. For those wanting to know if certain items have been purchased already, you can call me or send me an email.

1. American Girl stuff (I have the items she has circled in the book) - gift cards are available too.
2. iTunes gift card
3. Apple store gift card
4. Conair massage slippers
5. Don't Break the Ice (board game)
6. Brookstone Helicopter
7. Nut cracker
8. Camcorder
9. Wii games (Family Game Night 2)

My wishlist...a little shorter than Meghan's.
1. Nice size tool box (they had a nice one at Home Deport for, I think, $9.99. Not a metal one.
2. Dish rack...kind that has dish drain to catch the water. Stainless steel would be nice but I'm not picky.
3. Gift cards...SteinMart, Target, Kohls, Borders
4. Cell phone holder...kind that would clip onto a purse. Bright or funky color..maybe some bling on it. I have a LG EnVe...rectangle, about 2"X4".
Hope to see everyone at my house Christmas Day. Eating about two-ish. You know the usual...come when you can, things to nibble on before hand, presents to unwrap, etc.
