From Dad's Yearbook - Va High

The name is on the left but Dad's photo is on the right.  The story that I heard was that his brother Scott had gotten hurt so much playing football that Dad was not allowed to play.  So I guess he took up chearleading.

While Dad was listed on the yearbook staff as the "Joke Editor" his brother Scott (also listed as a senior) was listed as "The Wittiest". The last joke on the joke page was:
Erby Feathers: "How did Marshall's jokes for the annual get across?"
Ward Burton: "Probably on the Mayflower."
