Meghan & Elizabeth Wish List

Well...I certainly feel out done by Scott and Laura. Not only because they have such a nice specific and long list but because they posted BEFORE I did. Sometimes I think Scott thinks everyone does their shopping Christmas Eve like he does.

Anyway, here is all I can think of for both Meghan and myself.

For Meghan, fift cards are great to any of these store - Apple, Build-A-Bear, Target, Borders or any store. She said all she wanted from Santa, Mom and Dad was an Apple Ipod Touch (not the phone)...thus the gift card to the Apple Store. Also, for both of us we have a Wii and any of the games would be good but some are pricey (thus the gift card to Target). We already have Wii sports and Shrek the Third. She also needs a new laundry basket thing (those mesh ones)...the Hello Kitty one she got from Marsh & Diane has been well used. The only thing on her written down list that has not already been bought by someone is a Fur Real Friends cat...she wanted the big white one but it too is kind of pricey ($34.99)...there is a smaller one for $12.99 (Target,Walmart,KBToys).

For me....gift cards (Target,HomeDepot,or any place)....I can never, ever think of anything. The one thing I really wanted I already bought on-line 'cuz I could get 2 for one and wanted to get one for Mother too. You all will have to wait to see what it is. I don't know if Clinque has gift cards - that would be good. I saw some sleep pants on sale in Target magazine today (flannel or jersey knit - maybe Medium)...and a sleep shirt (henley).

Scott and Laura's Christmas list

Laura is concerned that after the modesty of Art and Jackie's list this might sound a bit much, but she says she wanted to give people a chance to find stuff. So first off, Laura's list:

Movies (DVD): Wall-E, Kung-Fu Panda

Music: Loreena McKenntt "A Midwinter Night's Dream." or Mary Chapin Carpenter "Come Darkness, Come Light."

Books: A good edition of Moby Dick, Rose Levy Beranbaum's The Bread Bible, Harold McGee's On Food and Cooking (we found this title on "cookingforengineers.com" which is a really interesting food site, btw).

And of course, the perennial Flannel Sheets (queen size, pale yellow or blue).

For Scott:
Oh, the usuall: good dark beer, brandy, pens or ink, a pepper grinder (!). Gift certificates to Borders or some other book store.

That should give folks an idea. Don't spend very much this year. Give to charity. Love one another and all that stuff.

Our Christmas Wish List

JACKIE: Clinique lip gloss "Glamour Full 03" Full Potential Lips Plumb & Shine

Thanksgiving Holidays

Thanksgiving Day

Well, I was waiting for someone to post about our wonderful Thanksgiving dinner at Blaine and Judy's but I guess I will have to post even though I have no wonderful pictures to go with it. All the food was delicious and also the company was great. Both turkeys were cooked to perfection(Meghan even ate a large slice) and the stuffing was very good (just like Mother's). Meghan enjoyed running around with Tram and Andy as always. Diane's chocolate brownines were a big hit. I was glad John & Karen were able to make it down....so we were just missing Scott and Laura but will enjoy seeing them at Christmas. We remembered to draw names a little late, so Mother has the names we drew for Scott, Laura, Thomas and Gail.

Thank you Blaine and Judy for having it at your house!
