Friday Update
Got Mother a pair of slippers and when I took off the socks they were soaking wet. Her ankles swollen and so they were "leaking" out of any cut/bumps on her legs. This has happened in the past at home so it wasn't a shock/surprise to me. Got the nurse & told her that she needs to have her legs elevated more. Sitting in the wheel chair reading all day with legs hanging down when not at therapy or the dining room not good. Nurse put in a call to doctor to get a diuretic (you know what I mean). Good thing I'm taking her to heart doctor Monday...hopefully.

So - how did it go?

In bed yesterday afternoon with legs up & nurse April pleased with how they look although still looked swollen to me. She was going to sit in chair after I left. She doesn't think she should go to appt Monday because of her feet but he's the doctor she needs to see for them. Was put on lay-sic (spelled wrong) a diuretic. April was going to talk to her, without any of us there, to say she needed to go & her swollen ankels/feet posed no problem with the trip.
We will see.
Mother told me tonight she wasn't sure they had given her any laysic. Mother said she doesn't need to see Dr. Hulse but the other doctor about her ear. She said there is ear wax in it and she can't hear anything out of it. She is suppose to tell the morning nurse she would like to talk to the doctor there at Bayshore Point (Dr.Black) about that.
