Well, Scott wanted more pictures and he wasn't specific so I thought I would put a couple of Amelia Island. This is where I went a couple weekends ago. The beach was beautiful. Stayed at a cottage - 2 bedrooms, deck and private board walk out to the beach. Does this sound like where you and Laura stayed? Meghan wants to go there with me next time even though there is no pool - she didn't care.

Anyone want to see a picture of...Me?

It was taken several years ago by one of the ASU publicity photographers. For some reason they pulled it out and used it on the ASU web site here. I don't know how long it will be up there. The pictures are changed around all the time.

And if you want, you can read my about our latest adventures in Wilkesboro and with Maggie on the NotMayberry blog. Maggie and I had been watching 30 sec veresions of great movies performed by bunnies. She thought they were great.

Hope everyone is doing well. Post more pictures!

Okay I made it out to one of Meghan's football games. Only got there for part of the second half and took a few photos. Her team that she cheers for must have been having an off day. They only won 13 to 6. Its probably like the soccer teams in that age group. At the start of the season the team with good natural athletes tear up on everyone, and later when the teams have been together longer the other teams start figuring out how things go and things even out some. Meghan looked tall out there and did a good job of cheering. Had some rain but that didn't stop anything (no lighting).

She was a little animated in this one. I think that her team had just scored a touchdown.

Fundraiser Time!!!!

Meghan's school has it's yearly fundraiser and the deadline is Sept. 20. I registered her on-line again this year and again this year I did not receive the email that I could forward to everyone. So....here is the pitch, plea, or what ever you would like to call it. You may go to the following internet site (www.innisbrook.com) and order under her school ID (#104201). Or you may just go to the site to look and then let me know what you would like to order (if it's in her book). All I ask is, if you order on-line, you let me know how many items you ordered so she can enter it on her order form and she can get prize credit for the order. If you order thru me, you will need to get the check to me. There really is some neat stuff to order. If you email me or try to call me for an order, I will be out of town this weekend and returning Sunday evening. Those of you in town could look at the order book - I will try to leave it with Mother.

Thank you from Meghan and her school!

I went to a hair salon today (thanks to Mary Jane's generous gift) and had my doo done. Color, highlights and trim. The girl who did it really wanted to blow dry it and iron it out, so......see pics for the results. It will last only as long as it doesn't get wet. It already has started to flip up a little, but thought all might like to see me with straight hair. Also, will include a pic of Meghan's curls (which I know she would love to have her hair made straight). Credits for my pictures go to Meghan.

FYI: Meghan's Pee Wee football team won again today (we had to be there at 7:00 a.m. - we were just a little late - had to get coffee and a donut). They have won 32-0, 34-0, 40-6 and 24-7. Looks like they will be going to the playoffs if this keeps up (drat - that means a longer season!).

Even more photos of Saint Louis

Since everyone seemed to enjoy the photos that I have posted so far (I'm sure it wasn't my brilliant commentary) her are some more. Maybe I can do a better job of grouping them, but don't count on it. Just enjoy them.

This one is of the kitchen. It is in the back with the door on the right going out on the back stoop.

This is the hallway going from the kitchen to the front. It has the old built in china closet.

This one is from the front of the building and shows Jenifer's porch. It is on the left of the front door on the first floor. The window at ground level that you see between the porch and the entrance is to the basement. (Wow! There's a word that I don't get to use much since we moved here from Virginia.)

This is a building over in Forest Park that is called the Jewel Box. It is like a large greenhouse that has trees inside. We weren't able to go inside when we were there, but I walked around in the gardens outside and took some photos.

This is another photo of the campus. This is the main building and faces out to the East and the main entrance to the school. By the way I read that the official name of the school is Washington University in Saint Louis.

Since you asked Scott the tests that were run on the thyroid nodule were negative. It was not malignant.

Jessee's Place

Jessee's Place

I am testing to see if I can post this. It seems that I created my own blog instead of signing into Jessee blog.
