Sunday Mother Update
Well Elizabeth & I both called Blaine to tell him to check on Mother as when Elizabeth went about 11:30 ish she said she was just soooo sleepy and didn't know why. Blaine got there & they checked vitals. she passed out, unresponsive, 911, woke up, back to Memorial ER and finally back to same 213 room about 6 ish something. She knows where she is & asked even about Meghan's volleyball game.
This time 1800 calories as opposed to 1500 & no caffeine no sugar last week. Pureeed but off the menu of what she picks out. Thicken in all liquids, And after over a week without tea it seems she can have her beloved hot tea with sugar & lemon. But I'm expecting to find the hated, never order coffee on her breakfast try. Oh yes, Ensure, chocolate, in afternoon. After a week with no chocolate it will be good for her. We know how she likes her candy and ice cream.

She can actually drink anything as long as they thicken it, so I'm not sure how her tea would taste with that stuff mixed in with it.
She had a small container of tea tonight with thicken in it. (It came that way.) She ate the mashed potatoes and a lot of the vegtables but with extra butter. She drank one apple juice and we left her with another. Dr. Stofer came by and said her EKG was ok, but her problems seem to be with the low blood suger and getting enough nutrition to build her back up. He said we MAY need to consider a feeding tube if she cann't get enought nutrition otherwise.
Thanks for all the updates. I am sending her another letter and a packet of pictures I printed off the internet - mostly of me at the teaching award ceremony with my 'nieces.'
She'd have been getting enough nutrition if, according to my thoughts, they hadn't had her on 1500 calories & no sugar and seemed to keep forgeting the doctor saying one Ensure daily.
Maybe they'll be better but I think it's going to be up to all of us to keep them on their toes.
